The Powerhouse Racing One Piece Billet Timing Belt Drive Gear for the VVT-i 2JZ-GTE features a one-piece design and is CNC machined from billet steel that maintains the magnetic properties of the OEM VVT-i crank gear. This timing gear features lightening holes on both the front and rear to keep it as light as possible. Upgrading from the 12-tooth to the 36-2 tooth gear offers better crankshaft position resolution for more precise ignition and fuel injection timing. Additionally, the PHR gear's teeth are more precisely machined with a better square shape to aid in tooth edge pickup for the ECU, helping with earlier timing sync during cranking. Unlike the OEM gear, the PHR timing gear is less brittle, reducing the likelihood of broken teeth if accidentally dropped.
